Our services promote Respite to assist you in day to day life that provides parents and other caregivers with short-term child care services that offer temporary relief, improve family stability, and reduce the risk of abuse or neglect.
Respite breaks are so you can look after yours and your child’s own health and wellbeing. For example, it may be that you need regular replacement overnight care so you can catch up on your sleep; also providing a therapeutic and relaxed break for the young person you are responsible for.
When your child has additional or specific needs, handing over responsibility can be a real challenge. You might feel as if you are the only person who can do the job, and doubt that anyone else could meet all of your child’s needs. But remember, you’re not superhuman. There’s only so much you can give before you will feel mentally, emotionally, and physically drained. That’s why it’s a necessity — not a luxury — to take breaks from time to time.
These break will take place with a skilled and caring person that you trust might be easier than you think.
These breaks usually would be taken during the weekend or school holiday period, in and around the West Midlands and UK.
